Meet Shannon

Shannon Scott

Shannon Scott is a senior people, labor, and legal executive with more than 20 years of experience advising transportation, utility, and industrial organizations operating in highly regulated, safety-critical environments.

She brings a uniquely integrated perspective shaped by executive leadership across human resources, labor relations, and legal functions. Shannon has built and scaled people and compliance organizations for high-growth and start-up companies, while also leading enterprise labor strategy and workforce operations for large, unionized systems across multiple states and international borders.

Prior to founding SwitchPoint Services, Shannon spent two decades with one of North America’s largest freight railroads, where she held progressive leadership roles spanning labor relations, workforce planning, commercial contracting, and labor and employment law. She served as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on collective bargaining, workforce risk, investigations, regulatory compliance, and organizational change across the U.S. and Canada. Her experience includes first-chair labor negotiations and oversight of complex, safety-sensitive union workforces.

Most recently, Shannon provided Chief Administrative and Legal Officer services for a multi-state utility contractor, leading people operations, labor relations, compliance, and organizational infrastructure for a rapidly scaling, field-based workforce. Her work bridges executive strategy and frontline execution—ensuring that systems, policies, and leadership practices drive safety, accountability, and performance.

Through SwitchPoint Services, Shannon provides fractional executive and strategic advisory services, partnering with founders and leadership teams to design practical people strategies, navigate labor and regulatory complexity, and build organizations that are resilient, compliant, and built to scale.

Shannon has also joined Kashbox Coaching building an executive coaching practice focused on developing future leaders supporting solid corporate succession plans. She also recently launched "High Heels and Hard Truths" with a fellow corporate colleague.

Shannon is a native Floridian born in Jacksonville and raised in Kissimmee, Florida. She is the proud wife and mom of a dedicated husband, bubbly daughter, and sweet son.
